The Cascade Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club (CGSMDC) Breed Information Contacts Listing (BICL) is a listing of volunteer members that was created as an educational resource for potential puppy purchasers and current Swissy owners. Its purpose is to provide the general public with a list of both breeder and non-breeder CGSMDC members who are willing to provide information about the breed and activities in which the breed participates.
CGSMDC members who have volunteered to be listed are individuals who have meet the following minimum requirements:
- A CGSMDC full member (family or individual) in good standing for a period of 24 consecutive months or have been a CGSMDC full member in good standing for a period of 12 consecutive months and a GSMDCA full member in good standing for a period of 24 months.
- Volunteered at least 3 hours of time annually to the CGSMDC or 8 hours if your listing will include puppies or stud services available.
- Completed and signed the request to be listed along with providing the answers requested in the attached (or online) questionnaire. This request must be renewed on an annual basis with the Breeder Resources Committee.
- Are willing to dedicate the necessary time to answer questions from the public in a timely and informative manner.
The information provided on this list is based solely on the information the CGSMDC Breeder Resources Committee received from the participants and should be verified by the user. Accordingly, the CGSMDC does not endorse, guarantee, recommend or otherwise approve any particular breeder(s) or guarantee or accept any responsibility for the health, temperament or any other aspect of the dogs sold by the participants. Potential puppy purchasers should research this breed and breeders thoroughly. The CGSMDC is not responsible for any individual transactions and/or contracts entered into with anyone listed in the BICL. Additionally, the CGSMDC does not monitor and will not be held responsible for any advice given by any contact on this list.
The CGSMDC wants to be a resource to you and your family in the important decision making process of purchasing your first Swissy or by providing further information to current Swissy owners. Our ultimate goal is to promote the care and welfare of the breed. By assisting you in your research on the breed we are serving the breed we so deeply cherish. In addition to contacting individuals on this listing we encourage you to attend a CGSMDC meeting or event. These are wonderful opportunities to learn more about the breed and meet Swissy owners and breeders.
