Finding a GSMD
CGSMDC Club Members: Please fill out the following form to apply for listing on the CGSMDC Breed Information Contacts page.
 
The BICL is intended to provide the general public with a list of contacts (both breeder and non-breeder CGSMDC members) who are willing to educate potential owners about the breed and to encourage them to be responsible in their selection of a Swissy.
 
To be listed as a BIC you must meet the following minimum requirements:
  1. A CGSMDC full member (family or individual) in good standing for a period of 24 consecutive months or have been a CGSMDC full member in good standing for a period of 12 consecutive months and a GSMDCA full member in good standing for a period of 24 months.
  2. Volunteered at least 3 hours of time annually to the CGSMDC or 8 hours if your listing will include puppies or stud services available.
  3. Completed and signed the request to be listed along with providing the answers requested in the attached (or online) questionnaire. This request must be renewed on an annual basis with the Breeder Resources Committee.
  4. Are willing to dedicate the necessary time to answer questions from the public in a timely and informative manner.

 Requirements by Number
  1. Must have lived with a Swissy and young children in your home together.
  2. Must have titled your Swissy in event(s) selected.
  3. Must have whelped in your home at least one AKC registered litter of GSMDs of which you are the breeder of record and also intend to produce future litters.
  4. Must have a male swissy that you are currently standing at stud.
  5. Must actively participate in therapy/visitation work with your Swissy.
  6. Must be willing to report any Swissy needing assistance to the CGSMDC Rescue Committee.

Please answer the following questions. To give each prospective Swissy owner a foundation for discussions with the BIC, a summary of this questionnaire and answers will be included on the BICL.
