Kokanee comes from Painted Mountain's "Fish" themed litter; so all her brothers and sister are named after some of what the Northwest is famous for. Her blaze flows down the back of her neck, and she has an elongated "dot" on top of her head in the middle of it - which looks just like a little salmon swimming upstream (especially after a few of those Canadian beers…)!

Kokee (also affectionately known as the "KokeeMonster" a nick name she acquired after a blurry photo was taken of her silhouetted figure swimming in Lake Cle Elum - a la the famous Loch Ness Monster photo), loves nothing more than to run like the wind through the woods & snow around her home in Cle Elum, where she lives with Paul and Regina Reese. While out on her gallivants, if there's water anywhere nearby, she'll find it (her fishy side??) – and will plunge headlong into the iciest of frozen streams! Oh she loves to splash and wade all right, but just try and get her into a bathtub!
