 Yes, it's snowing, and yes, that's a pool full of ice water he's lounging in! One thing Adam loves to do (and does well) is to keep his cool! Some of his favorite activities include playing in the snow, soaking in his ice water bath, and doing his best impersonation of a water retriever for the kids! That impersonation includes playing and diving headlong into the pond to fetch some of his favorite toys. He grew up and still lives with a great role model for the game - Labrador "Baloo" who also happens to be a service dog for Loving Paws. Adam's following in Baloo's footsteps there as well, as he's very gentle with all his beloved kids and especially the handicapped ones that his owner, best friend, and biggest fan Toni Killpatrick works with.
 Though he recently celebrated his second birthday and so is getting big fast, Adam still likes to thinks he's just a little tyke! When he finds a willing subject, he'll do his best to finagle all of his 125 pounds into their lap, working ever-so-carefully to get that last rear leg off the ground and tucked in! Apparently no one has had the heart to tell him that maybe he's not lap dog-sized anymore!
Adam calls Mariposa, California home, and lives on a working cattle ranch. When he's not helping run the place or entertaining kids, he and Toni can be found giving the competition a run for their money in the conformation ring. And he's done quite well, already garnering two "Best in Specialty Show" honors and multiple Best of Breeds at a very young age. I'll bet if you asked him what his secret was, he'd say that besides a handsome face and loads of charm, you gotta know how to keep your cool!
