 This radiant smile belongs to November's Swiss Miss - "Champion Howling Hills Bella Dona." In Italian Bella Donna means "Beautiful Lady." One look at her and you'll see why all her friends think she's favoloso!
But she's so much more than just another pretty face - she's got brains and talent too, and to prove it Bella has added the AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen), HCT (Herding Capability Test), FOE ('Fridge Opener Extraordinaire), and QC (Queen of the Couch) titles to her name!
Some of her favorite activities include herding (we should note that this applies to both children and sheep), hiking, romping at (or reigning over) the dog park, and cooking. Yes, cooking! One of her favorite foods is a hearty chicken-cheese quesadilla, and if no one's around to make one for her, she'll take matters into her own paws...
Bella's human subjects Lisa Bartholomew and sister Shannon Gannon discovered this talent quite by accident. Coming home after running out to pick up a movie, they were greeted at the door by Kinser - but there was no sign of Bella. Worried (and a little bit suspicious), they rounded the corner to the kitchen. There they found the open refrigerator, its deli drawer pulled out, and on the floor were the empty packages of all the ingredients she needed for her favorite snack - tortillas, cheese and pre-cooked chicken breast! I'm sure if she would have had a little more time, she’d have figured out a way to open the jar of salsa to go along with it!
