You wouldn't think a dog with these good looks, this much charm and personality, and whose name was inspired by legendary Sprint Car Driver and 20 time World of Outlaws Champion Steve Kinser would also be known as "Dork Knob" now, would you?!!! How can you call a guy that's got his JHD (Junior Herd Dog) title, his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification and his American and International Championships Dork-knob??? Well, if you're Lisa Bartholomew (his devoted and loving human mom) you can get away with it!
Kinser (more officially known as Painted Mtn Olympus) lives in Tukwila, Washington with Lisa and Swissy housemate Bella. There he has earned the title of "Master of the Porch," and protecting that small piece of real estate is an activity which he ranks as one of his favorites! He also enjoys boat rides on the lake (pictured here doing just that with with best buddy Cassidy), romps at the dog park, and herding sheep. Now, if you ask Lisa, she'll probably say something akin to "Aw, shucks" - but Kinser just happens to be one of the most talented natural herders in the club, and if you ever get the opportunity to see him in action, you're in for a real treat. While Lisa jokingly awards him the "King of Un-coordination" Crown, he's all business when the sheep come out! His JHD title is quite an accomplishment, but it's really just the tip of the iceberg to this dog's potential.
Hopefully he'll be back at it this Spring!
Meanwhile, he's working hard on getting more of his favorite treats - pizza and ice cream - and keeping the Bartholomew household filled with love and laughter. That, and trying to downplay the "Dork-knob" thing...
