They just don't come much friendlier, goofier, or plain more loveable than our "Mr. September" - Cody! Cody's proud to be the other half of the team of Swissies (along with Windy, our "Miss August") residing at the Miller household in Sammamish, and Julie says he has no problem making himself heard (and seen) with his antics. How? Well he grunts to let you know if he has not had sufficient rubbing or attention for the day, and literally jumps and pounces vertically (picture a giant, tri-colored "Tigger!") when he's excited!
Cody likes to be involved with the business end of things too, keeping the Millers on their toes by "stealing" papers from them when they're working in their offices. But Cody does do his share of work - to a point! A draft dog at heart, he took to pulling his cart with ease and has even participated in the annual Maifest parade in Leavenworth. Julie reports that he's happiest working on level ground - apparently as soon as he is going uphill, he is a bit dismayed by the actual work involved!
All that hard work deserves a vacation, and in late June Cody and the gang packed up an RV and hit the highway, headed for Colorado. While on the road, buddy Windy took the opportunity to catch up on sleep, but Cody made sure he weaseled his way right up front with mom & dad and spent his time taking in all of the spectacular scenery - which included herds of bison and elk. As an added bonus, when they arrived at their destination, he was rewarded with plenty of rabbits to chase around the yard! A little business, a little pleasure, mountains, critters and car rides with the family - that's what Cody calls Dog Heaven!
