Pack Hikes
Caribou-Targhee National Forest | June 27–28
The Cascade GSMDC will be hosting back-to-back GSMDCA Pack Hikes on:
Saturday, June 27 & Sunday, June 28
📍 Location: Caribou-Targhee National Forest
📍 Meet-Up: 6:30 AM in Driggs, ID
(At the home of the Pack Hike Coordinators for pack weigh-in and paperwork)
🚶♂️ Event Overview
- Two 8-mile hikes (one each day)
- Eligible for back-to-back title legs upon successful completion
- Open to both pack participants and casual hikers

Guests are welcome to join as a casual hike or to observe and get started. As an AKC Fit Dog Club, these hikes also count as AKC Fit Dog hikes.
💲 Fees
- Members: $15 (covers both days)
- Non-Members: $20 (covers both days)
🥾Pack Dog RequirementsTo participate as a packing team:
- Dog must be at least 18 months old
- Must have completed a 6-mile training hike carrying pack weight
- A veterinarian-certified weight is required
- Taken within 7 days prior to the hike
- Acceptable formats: vet note, invoice, receipt, etc. with signature

Club members are encouraged to invite others to join them on casual walks with their Swissy in their local area.
