NEw Exhibitor Mentoring program

The Cascade Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club is participating in the AKC New Exhibitor Mentoring Program. This program is designed to guide you through the details in sports and events, providing one-on-one training advice and assistance for grooming, health care, rules and traditions of dog shows, handling, and potential for future breeding. Mentors can help you learn:
  • Basic dog show/event etiquette
  • Dog show/event judging procedures
  • Common terminology used at shows and events
  • The difference between types of events
  • How to fill out entry forms

Eligibility

To find a mentor, you must be:
  • At least 18 years old
  • A recent AKC registrant or be thinking about getting an AKC registered dog.
  • Familiar with the AKC Privacy Policy
