In February 2009, the GSMDCA finalized the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Rescue Foundation (GSMDRF) as a 501c3 organization to handle all rescue needs for the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. With the formation of this foundation, the GSMDCA no longer has a rescue committee. All inquiries about rescue, foster, adopting a rescue dog, or turning a dog over to rescue must be directed to the GSMDRF. All donations for rescue shoud be directed to the GSMDRF.
